Security of credit card transactions
SSL (Secured Socket Layer) encrypts the information you send to us as
well as the information we send back to you. You don't have to do
anything special to use SSL as long as your browser software is Netscape
Navigator 4.0 or above, Microsoft Explorer 4.0 or above. Altair does
not save the credit card number you send to us. To further protect
your private financial data, we don't even cache your credit card
information. In other words, if you enter your credit card number
on the Web page that asks for it, then skip to another page before
ordering a product, your data will not be saved.
Security of our Web site
We designed our Web site with multiple layers of security. We utilize
state-of-the-art software solutions to prevent unauthorized access
and improper use of our site. For your added protection, we never store
any credit, financial or real estate information on our Web server.
Security
of our client database
Our member database stores general information (names, addresses and
e-mail addresses) of people who purchase products from us. It does
not store credit information. Once you register with us, you will have
access to — and can change — your information in the database through
the use of a password, which you select. Your information is kept secure
through encryption and monitoring to prevent unauthorized access.
